Keeping your Sanity Intact
How are you keeping your 'SANITY' in recent times?
Whoosh! an exclamation, right?
Well, the essence of my post is #bedeliberateaboutkeepingyoursanity
There's so much going on around the world in recent times and this has led a lot of people regardless of the age bracket they fall into to be diagnosed with a high blood pressure. The uncertainty is just too enormous to bear and manage for most people.
High blood pressure is a silent killer and most often than not , it does not display any symptoms.
It therefore behooves on each one of us to be deliberate about maintaining our sanity and stress levels.
These few tips can make a difference:
- Keep a grateful spirit always. There's always light at the end of the tunnel and your situation could have been worse.
- Meditate. Take out time to be on your own. Evaluate yourself
- Make a conscious effort to be present in your surroundings. Don't lose yourself to unnecessary distractions
- Have a closing time for work
- Ensure to have a good night sleep ( yeah, it may seem hard, but it's achievable, trust me)
- Have fun, play hard whenever the opportunity arises
- Move away from negative energy and toxic environments
- Walk, run, exercise, swim, do yoga, just move. It helps to lift the spirits
- Eat healthy to live - I'm making a conscious effort to do so myself
- Be aware
- Listen to your body. You will immediately know when something goes awry
- Be silly sometimes especially with people who appreciate and love you
- Be the light that lights up the room, SMILE, say HELLO
- Track your progress daily and you will be amazed how far you've come just by being deliberate about keeping your sanity.
A famous quote says there are two types of personality:
1. The one who sees the glass half empty &
2. The one who sees the glass half full
Which are you?
